Photography: Mt. Lofty Botanic Gardens

These are all taken during a lovely date with my partner out at the botanic gardens. I hadn’t been before, it’s an absolutely lovely space and the recent rain really brought out nature’s rich colours. This garden in particular has plants from such a wide variety of countries. Might not be my best photos, but I had a wonderful time out and that’s plenty enough for me.

Ugh, I love her. I like little portrait opportunities like this, but I am generally too shy to ask and bother my friends. She’s always nice and puts up with my bizarre little pose prompts. For one I didn’t post I asked her to “‘act like you’re tiny”, which was apparently not as clear as I imagined.

This little asshole bird. I just looked him up, a superb fairywren. I was following him with my camera for a while, he kept stopping in amazing shots and posing really well. Then as soon as the camera focused- WHOOSH, GONE. Just a blue streak on the lens. This legitimately happened four times in a row. I think I now have a grudge against this species.

Thanks for your time, I hope you saw something you liked! Until next time!

Peace – Beeem

  1. Superb fairy wren redemption round- They change colour for a portion of the year and are not blue for the time that they’re not mating πŸ˜€ also they give yellow petals to their mate to woo them, so cuteeee
